MUSIC

It’s a final performance of this show, featuring many of the musicians from our recent sold-out night in March. On the bill once again will be Stevie Jackson of Belle & Sebastian, Francis Macdonald of Teenage Fanclub and Rachel Gaughan. We’ll also be joined by a new musical guest, Lily Rieke Marty. The previous show was a great experience for all involved, however, we would never seek to duplicate it. Watch out for new versions and arrangements of songs from ‘Blood on the Tracks’ as well as performances of the numbers we didn’t get to last time. Hopefully we’ll have some surprises along the way.

LITERARY

The night is also a literary tribute. Get ready for readings and discussions of Dylan’s magnificent lyrics and brand-new literary responses to his work in the form of poems, fiction and non-fiction.

THE SHOW

The doors open at 7pm, show begins 7.30pm sharp. There’ll be a break from 8.30-9.00pm to allow people to browse thi wurd’s stall, which will be selling books, magazines, totes, t-shirts, badges & more. For people who’ve enjoyed our events in the past, this will have all the components of our popular literary nights, with an added theme centred around 2016 Nobel Prize winner for Literature, Mr Bob Dylan.

AFTERSHOW

The show will finish no later than 10.30pm. But we hold the venue until 1am, so please feel free to stay on and enjoy more Bob-chat, our curated Dylan-themed playlists and student prices on the bar.

Let me once again say a special thanks to the incredible community that works with, and supports, thi wurd. We are looking forward to meeting new people on Sat 31 May. Please ‘spread thi wurd’ to those you know who might be interested in this event.

Please join us if you can. Note: this a 14+ event. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If you are under 25, make sure you bring ID. See you there.
