New Online ‘Writing Fiction’ classes

Sunday 26 October 6-8.30pm (GMT) Book Here

Tuesday 28 October 7-9.30pm (GMT) Book Here

Wednesday 29 October 7-9.30pm (GMT) Book Here

Our classes have run consecutively since October 2001 and been a significant part of the Scottish Literary scene for a couple of decades. So many published writers have come through the sessions.

These days – in their online form – the classes reach far beyond Scotland, taking in the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe, North America and beyond.  These supportive groups offer a lot in terms of critique, feedback, discussion of literary techniques and prompts for new work. It’s a supportive environment and a place where writers quickly improve.

Sometimes people will say to me that they don’t want to take part in online classes, or that they are fed up using screens for everything. I’m sympathetic to that view. But our classes provide a different experience – an experience that is very immersive. You feel that you are in the same room as the other writers, that you get to know them and their work. We learn from each other and from the exchange of thought. Importantly, we all get to know your writing too. It’s a place to find motivation and to try out new ideas, a very personalised experience. The classes suit new writers right up to published authors.

Our sessions are 2 and a half hours long (with breaks) and run for 8 consecutive weeks. At £130 a term, this is excellent value. Prices are always kept extremely low for what is on offer. Join us if you can. It’d be great to have you there.
